SEPTEMBER 1 & 2: Festival of San Antolin

This festival starts with a traditional raising of the “hoguera” tree trunk carried, hoisted and planted by the men of Naves. It is followed by feasting on Spanish potato omelette, savory pastry and hard cider. Then, this is followed by an all-night party in the field with live music.

Day 2 starts around noon, with a procession, then optional attendance to Catholic mass, another procession and regional dance. Then, there is a cocktail hour followed by a group circle dance. Finally we feast at San Antolin Beach next to the abandoned monestary. Dan and Maria Luisa will provide the food.

SEPTEMBER 4: Anniversary Celebration. After a short renewal of vows and cocktail hour in the plaza, Dan and Maria Luisa invite guests to a reception at a nearby location, TBD.
